Floor Staining in Geelong
We know Wood Flooring – The type of wood you have can significantly change what you can do with it.
Some wood grains are tighter so stain doesn’t penetrate as well, and we know the difference. We’re extremely experienced and can adjust our staining methods to accommodate different wood types. This means you’ll get the even, perfect stain you’re after, no matter what.
We know Prep Work – Sanding can make all the difference, when it comes to sanding Inexperienced sanders can gouge and scratch their flooring. Though it might not look like much damage at the time, stains make these sanding imperfections much more noticeable. With SUPERBLY POLISHED FLOORS you don’t have to worry about whether you’ve sanded correctly, because we handle it for you.
We know Procedure – If you use too much stain you can get bleed back, an ugly excess of stain comes out between the joined pieces of wood, and ruins the look of the flooring. If you want to correct it you have to sand the whole floor again, risking the chance of even more problems.
We know exactly how much stain to use in order to avoid this problem. Many people also assume that the stained floor is dried long before it actually is. They sometimes don’t realize that, applying a finish too soon keeps it from bonding to the stain and requires starting from scratch. Our floor staining professionals save you time, effort, and money.

LIMING- is a great way to brighten up your home, traditionally giving your floor a soft white washed look. It’s all about applying the right amount so that we can still see all the characteristics of the grain. White is the traditional way of doing it but we can also make other colours. Talk to us about your vision. Also if you want more white and less grain that can also be achieved simply by adding more coats with the white mixed in.
SUPERBLY POLISHED FLOORS standard procedures for staining and liming jobs, are to show you pictures and sample boards of work we have already done.
Sometimes it’s necessary to do a practice patch at your house because all colours can slightly differ from how they look on our sample boards to how they are exactly going to look on your floor. We are pretty good at making a colour to match something, so if you can show us a sample of your vision we can try and make that colour for you.
